Appliance identity and currency
- Random appliance identifier and the account association needed to present the correct box in My Aclet.
- Installed Aclet software version, protection-information version and age, update state and last successful check-in.
- Uptime, boot count and whether the expected protected network path is active.
The appliance identifier is pseudonymous. It does not contain a customer name, but Aclet can link it to the registered account in order to provide the service.
Resource and service health
- Memory, swap, processor load, disk and inode use and, where available, temperature and storage-health readings.
- Whether protection, filtering, update and appliance-control services are active, inactive, starting or failed.
- Restart counts, failed service names, out-of-memory events, kernel error counts, filesystem state and packet-drop rate.
These fields monitor the Aclet box, not the documents, photographs, applications or screen of a household device.
Protection summaries and events
- Aggregate counts for malicious connections, intrusion attempts, blocked adverts, data-gathering requests and filtered sites.
- For selected customer-visible security events, the event category, time and blocked destination name or address.
- Protection mode and optional policy state selected by the customer.
A blocked destination can relate to household activity and is therefore treated as potentially personal information. Aclet does not currently use controller-plane event data to identify a named person or friendly-named household device.
What is not included
- Message, email, call or video contents.
- Passwords, payment-card numbers, photographs, documents or files.
- The full text of encrypted pages or words typed into them.
- A live view of household device screens or remote control of those devices.
Why Aclet uses these collections
Controller-plane information is used to show service state to the customer, detect and diagnose faults, maintain protection, support customer-approved remediation, secure the service and make proportionate reliability improvements.
Detailed local logs remain on the Aclet box unless the customer downloads them, shares them with Support or approves an appliance support session. See the full Privacy Statement.
