Terms of Use
These terms apply to the Aclet website, Aclet Home Protection box, account service and related support. Additional price and plan information shown at checkout forms part of the contract.
Aclet is operated by Aclet Technologies Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 17429427.

"We", "us" and "Aclet" mean Aclet Technologies Ltd. "You" means the person using the website or buying, controlling or using the service.
You may use the website for lawful personal or business purposes. Its general information does not promise that every home, device, internet provider or threat will be suitable or protected in a particular way.
You must not interfere with the website or service, introduce harmful code, scrape it in a way that causes harm, impersonate another person, defeat access controls, or scan, probe, test or exploit any system without prior written authorisation.
Aclet is a network protection service. It reduces exposure to known dangerous connections, scam websites, third-party intrusion attempts, unwanted adverts and tracking systems, and can provide optional family content controls and schedules.
Aclet does not guarantee that every threat, malicious website, advert, tracker, scam, malware infection or harmful message will be detected or stopped. It is not a replacement for device updates, device security, sensible decisions, good cyber-security practice or backups. Threats already present on a device may continue to operate.
Protection depends on correct installation, compatible equipment, a working internet connection and traffic passing through the protected Aclet path.
You are responsible for providing a suitable internet connection and router and for following the setup instructions. Unusual router or provider arrangements may require support.
Do not open, damage, destructively alter, repurpose or use the Aclet box in an unsafe or unlawful way. Do not remove identifiers, defeat update or security controls, install unauthorised software, or interfere with its ability to provide the service.
Aclet applies software, security, threat-information and configuration updates automatically. Those updates may be necessary for continued secure operation.
Keep account details accurate and sign-in information secure. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been used without permission.
You must not share access in a way that bypasses plan limits or security controls. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect customers, the service or another person, or where law requires it.
Advert blocking, data-gathering protection, family content categories and schedules are optional where available. They can sometimes affect an app or website that relies on the same connection for legitimate operation, and you can switch them off.
You remain responsible for household access decisions. Tell household members and visitors, where appropriate, that network-level security and access controls apply and direct them to the Privacy Statement.
Support may include instructions, customer-provided diagnostic information and, where offered, a remote session.
Remote support is not permanent access to your network. It requires the unique code or approval presented to you, is limited to the Aclet box and the agreed purpose, and ends with the session. You may refuse or withdraw approval. It does not provide remote access to your phones, computers or other household devices.
The price, delivery cost, billing date, minimum term, renewal arrangements and cancellation method are shown before an order is placed and confirmed in a durable order record.
For an online sale to a UK consumer, the usual change-of-mind period for the box ends 14 days after the day it is received. After cancellation, the box must normally be returned within 14 days. The checkout information will state the return method, who pays direct return costs and any lawful deduction for diminished value.
If you expressly ask for a paid service to begin during the cancellation period, a proportionate charge may be due for service supplied before cancellation. Separate statutory remedies apply where goods are faulty or not as described, or a service is not supplied with reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these terms removes statutory consumer rights.
You must not use Aclet to facilitate unlawful activity, attack or probe systems without permission, evade a lawful restriction, distribute malware, infringe another person's rights, monitor another person unlawfully or deliberately interfere with the service.
If you install Aclet for a business or another household, you confirm that you have authority to do so and to make the relevant network decisions.
No internet or security service is uninterrupted. Availability can be affected by maintenance, provider outages, power, third-party equipment, attacks, unsupported configurations and circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Installing, restarting, updating, removing or incorrectly connecting other network equipment can temporarily interrupt internet access. Subject to rights and liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, Aclet is not responsible for an outage caused by an internet provider, power failure, unsupported or incorrect installation, incompatible third-party equipment, customer modification or another cause outside our reasonable control. This does not exclude remedies where faulty Aclet goods or a failure to use reasonable care and skill caused the problem.
We may update software, rules and features to improve safety, reliability or legal compliance. We will give notice of material contractual changes where required and explain any available right to cancel.
The Aclet name, branding, original content and proprietary software belong to us or our licensors. We give you limited, personal, non-transferable permission to use them for the intended service.
You may not copy, sell, republish, derive source code from, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify or commercially exploit proprietary material, except to the limited extent that applicable law cannot exclude that activity or an open-source licence expressly permits it. Open-source components remain governed by their own licences.
Nothing limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or mandatory consumer rights.
Subject to that protection, we are not responsible for loss caused by an unsupported setup, an internet or power outage outside our control, a pre-existing device compromise, failure to follow instructions, unlawful use, unauthorised modification or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Any contract-specific financial limits will be clearly stated before purchase and must remain fair under applicable consumer law.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction are not removed.
We will show the latest review date. Material changes affecting an existing customer will be notified where required; continued use will not be treated as waiving a mandatory right or accepting an unfair change.
